The Majestic Sigiriya

SIGIRIYA  Sigiriya is a huge rock in Sri Lanka that rises about 600 feet above the ground. A king named Kasyapa lived there a long time ago. To get to the top, where his palace was, you need to climb 1,270 steps . Sigiriya is a famous historical site, called the eighth wonder of the world. It's best to visit early in the morning before it gets too hot or crowded. At the bottom of the rock, you can walk through beautiful gardens, including water gardens with ponds and fountains. There are also boulder gardens with big rocks, which were once part of an old monastery. But no matter what, you’ll always be looking up at the giant Sigiriya rock. Near the top, there’s a spot called the Lion’s Gate. It has two big stone lion paws. The face of a lion was once carved in the rock, but it’s mostly worn away now. This is how Sigiriya got its name, which means “lion rock.” Once you reach the top, you’ll see the ruins of the palace and gardens, along with old walls. The view of the jungle below ...

Life with Samayan

SAMAYAN The name Samayan continues to represent the kitten I selected when I adopted him. We observe our kitten constantly exploratory behavior since his high level of energy. His large eyes match his unique fur pattern which displays white and brown colors together with black spots. Samayan takes pleasure in running and playing across the entire day of the household from morning through evening. He likes biscuits and milk. The home is his independent territory since he refuses to share it with any other being.  The spot which my kitten prefers for resting is the couch and he drifts off to sleep next to me when he rests on it. My kitten picks the table spot as his preferred location to stay close to me when I study. The continuous existence of Samayan stays next to me in a way which makes life impossible without him. I love Samayan so much.
